Individual Pitching and/or Hitting Lessons
Former major league pitcher and one of the best pitching coaches in San Antonio, Ben Van Ryn is offering pitching and/or hitting lessons. Lessons are held at his home near Boerne Stage Rd. The exact address will be e-mailed to you after you book your lesson. Lessons are $35 for a 30 minute lesson and $60 for an hour lesson. Payment must be made on-line at the time of scheduling. There are no refunds for missed lessons and cancellations must occur 48 hours in advance. Please e-mail questions to info@sawranglers.com. You must have a User Id and password to schedule lessons. About Ben Van Ryn
Ben Van Ryn was a first round draft pick of the Montreal Expos in 1990 coming out of high school. Over an eleven year pro baseball career Ben played for the Expos, Dodgers, Angels, Cardinals, Braves, Reds, Cubs, Padres, Blue Jays and White Sox organizations. He spent time in the major leagues while with the Angels, Cubs, Padres and Blue Jays. Highlights of Ben's career include: Gulf Coast League Wins Leader; Florida State League All-Star and pitcher of the year; Texas League two-time all-star and pitcher of the year and he led the International League in appearances and holds. He also played on championship teams in the Gulf Coast, NY Penn, Texas, Pacific Coast and International Leagues. After his pro career Ben attended UTSA where he received a degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Health. He resides in San Antonio where he has been providing private lessons and coaching select baseball teams.
